The ProjectThe brief from the client was to provide a number of structures that were transportable, deployable, and prefabricated were the design supply and installation met with the strict criteria set by the ADF (Australian Defence Force) Based at the Holsworthy Barracks the hangars provide cover for the Black Hawk Helicpoters. Each Rapid-Span was installed within 2-3 days, with a total of 9 Rapid-Span Hangers, providing an economical solution for the ADF. Manufactured in Australia, RapidSpan Structures are constructed as an arched roof fixed to shipping containers, steel columns, concrete walls or the side wall of existing structures. Standard pre-engineered designs range from 6 meters to 16 meters in width. Strong and fully relocatable Rapid-Span Stuctures are supplied with a large range of options and are engineered and manufactured using quality materials in accordance with Australian standards. RapidSpan can be designed to withstand wind conditions of up to 230 km/hr.
