Jetstar Pacific Airlines contracted Universal Fabric Structures to supply and construct an Alu-Span TFS structure to be used as a Boeing Hangar for servicing A320 and 737 aircrafts at Ho Chi Minh Airport, Vietnam. The project scope called for a weatherproof fabric hangar large enough to contain the A320 and 737 jets with a maximum wing span of 34 m and height with the wheels on jacks at 3.5 m off the ground. A 1000 watt warehouse style high bay lighting system was installed with a total of 32 lights distributed evenly throughout the structure. Mechanical anchor bolts were used as anchorage to the existing concrete slab. The Alu-Span TFS series is a tough but lightweight aluminium framed structure, easily installed and fully relocatable. Options include: specialised fabrics, doors, windows, lighting, air-tight negative pressure environments and HVAC systems.
